Minnesota A-Frame Elopements

    If you live in Minnesota, you don’t need to head out west to the mountains to find a secluded a-frame cabin to host your intimate elopement. There are some beautiful A-frames right here in Minnesota! A-frames offer a cozy cabin experience, and if decorated properly, a beautiful backdrop to both summer and winter elopements. Below is a list of our favorites as well as inspirational “late Fall/early Winter” elopement at Stylle Hytte.

    STYLLE HYTTE by THE HAVENS

    Stylle Hytee is a nordic-inspired A-frame cabin located just an hour north of the Twin Cities. It is surrounded by 10 acres of trees and truly is nature at its finest. You can take a nice short hike in the woods to a private riverfront, perfect for a sweet little picnic or relaxing campfire. It’s pet-friendly so your dogs can join in on the fun as well. Stylle Hytee is norwegian for “quiet cabin” and the name definitely describes this Minnesota property perfectly.

    Great news is this cabin is available to rent for your intimate elopement or vow renewal on Airbnb. While most Airbnb’s don’t allow events, this airbnb, and many others, allow elopements as long as the people in attendance don’t exceed the allowed number of individuals that can fit at the property. It protects them from damage due to “parties” and noise complaints from neighbors. This particular cabin is secluded so feel free to crank that radio up and dance the night away under the stars!!

Enjoy your morning on the back deck, cozy up in the swinging hanging chair, or unwind around the fire pit out back. Perfect for a couples weekend, birthday treat, family getaway, or mountain biking retreat!

    While we haven’t had the pleasure of photographing an elopement here yet, it’s definitely one we have our eyes on. It was made for magazine-worthy intimate wedding photos. The opportunities for snuggles and playful moments in the natural light amongst the adorable design (both indoors and outdoors) makes our hearts sing. Crosby is a fun “up-north” touristy town to visit surrounded by miles of trails. In the summer you can enjoy hiking or mountain biking, and in the winter put on a pair of snowshoes and enjoy the fresh, crisp air. Snowshoes are provided by the owners for two.

    ATLAS A-FRAME

    When we designed Atlas A-frame, our goal was simple: create a Scandinavian and simplistic space, that would have the ability to center us, back to what truly matters. Atlas is a beautiful, private cabin located on Adney Lake.

    If you ask any professional elopement photographer who strives to capture true to life color tones and naturally lit images, they will tell you, “windows and white walls are key”. Well, Atlas A-frame meets that criteria throughout the entire cabin. It also offers a private dock on Adney Lake so you could bring a boat or rent one. There is a boat landing located on the East side of the lake where you can drop in boats since the property does not allow it with the stairs.

    LILLA NOR A-FRAME

    Lilla Norr, “Little North” in Swedish, is a 1978 a-frame cabin located on 5 acres of woods along the Snake River. Restored by the owners of Arlee Park, it is an extension of the vintage shop in Minneapolis. The a-frame was rehabilitated and shares era specific pieces in the space with a focus on sustainability. We can’t express how much it means to share this special space of ours with you!

    I swear people who love a-frames as much as we do, have the most amazing sense of style because once again, this a-frame is a photographer’s dream. Look at this livingroom!! It’s surrounded by lush greens in the summer giving almost a Northwest feel with ferns, water and trees. In the winter time, just grab some wine, a game of scrabble, a good book and enjoy this beautiful indoor space. Serenity comes to mind when I think of this place.
