Big Sur Elopement Inspiration

If you’re trying to convince your other half that a Big Sur Elopement is the right fit for you, look no farther. This inspirational Bridal shoot on the Big Sur Coast of California is proof to how amazing it could be! The blue ocean water creating mesmerizing patterns. Giant waves crashing on the intricate rocks along the rugged coast. And the rolling hills resembling views of Ireland or Scotland are all reasons this location is so popular for elopements and adventurous destination weddings.

ABOUT THIS BIG SUR BRIDAL SHOOT

Xsperience Photography teamed up with a local Bridal Boutique in Carmel By The Sea to create this stunning fine-art bridal shoot. The focus was to highlight the incredible scenery unique to Big Sur, and show adventurous brides how much fun they could have on their wedding day. It doesn’t take a never-ending list of things to-do to make a wedding day feel special. If you and your love show up with intention, looking your absolute best, this place and the right photographer will make you feel like you stepped into a movie scene created just for you and this moment.

EPIPHANY BRIDAL BOUTIQUE & CARMEL BY THE SEA

Two places that should be on every bride’s bucket list.

EPIPHANY is a high-end bridal boutique featuring stunning, top-notch designer gowns. The moment you step through the door, you’re greeted by their welcoming staff. Their passion for making you feel beautiful shows in their smiles and enthusiasm. The only trouble you may encounter here is…only picking one lucky gown!!

The gown featured here is a strapless Badgley Mishka gown. We loved the detailing in the pattern that resembled similar patterns found in the clouds above or the waves below as they circle around rocks near the coast.

Carmel by the Sea is a hidden gem in this big world. I say world because it is too amazing to only compare to cities within the United States. The one-square mile village offers streets full of boutiques and fine-dining cuisines. It gives me an Italian vibe. A glimpse into Tuscany. If you love history, you must stop by the Carmel by The Sea Fire Station built in 1930. There are also museums and libraries to visit. If history isn’t as much your thing as simply enjoying nature, just a mile south is Carmel River State Beach, a popular place to surf, kayak, dive or bird-watch. Continue south and you’ll see Monastery Beach, Point Lobos, Carmel Highlands and eventually the famous Bixby Bridge. Of course north offers plenty to see as well. Drive the coast a couple hours to San Francisco, but don’t forget to stop at Shark Fin Cove after Santa Cruz. We enjoyed a nice, scenic lunch at Whale City Bakery Bar & Grill.
