Airbnb Elopement in Big Sur California

What can an airbnb elopement in the incredible Big Sur, California look like? Well look no farther!! It starts with finding the perfect home to host your special day. For this intimate, 2 person elopement, SurGrove was the perfect hideaway deep in the Redwoods. The renovated 1930’s cabin offered a nice backyard nook to host the vow ceremony and beautifully decorated interior options for getting ready photos, a pancake brunch and an overall pleasant with two spacious bedrooms. The bedrooms had their own bathroom and door to the outside world making it ideal for separate getting ready areas for the couple. This allowed us the private moment to handwrite the vows and the anticipated moment of seeing each other for the first time looking their absolute best!

SUR GROVE: the home featured here. The house and location is incredible and the hosts are equally as great! Perfect for a couple wanting lifestyle images with it’s cutely decorated space. Also great for some separation getting ready, or if you bring kids or another couple along to celebrate with you. The outdoor space provides a great ceremony spot and some Redwoods exploring. Conveniently located about a mile from the main scenic highway.

BIG SUR DREAM HOME: Another home for an intimate elopement for just the two of you. It’s a bit farther off the main scenic road, but totally worth it if you want to feel secluded and surrendered to nature at its finest. The hot tub and sun-lit home filled with windows provides for some incredible and intimate pre or post-elopement photos. Of course you could skip the photoshoot there and just meet your photographer on the coast, but once you see how awesomely unique it is, you will certainly wish to have that part of your story documented as well.

CLIFF HOUSE: This is for the couple who doesn’t want to sacrifice on anything an elaborate wedding day could provide. This house and the views are pretty tough to beat!! It is not ideal for children, but sleeps 6 so you could bring 4 of your favorite people to join in on the fun. A REDWOOD GEM: Perfect for a summer getaway. It sits amidst 5 amazing acres and offers you and 4 of your guests a large sitting deck, pool and spa. If you plan on bringing your kids, this one is much more suitable than the Cliff House.

BIG SUR PANO: Well good news for the couple who wants to elope but have about a dozen people they just can’t leave behind. This place allows intimate gatherings (not loud parties!!) but with a large outdoor deck that seats 22 and 10 acres of land to explore, it makes for the perfect very small destination wedding. You honestly wouldn’t even have to leave to get incredible photos, a ceremony with a view and an evening dinner you and your guests won’t forget. Or you can swap your guests for dogs and horses because they are welcome as well.

The couple featured below opted to sleep in and start their elopement with photo coverage of them making a pancake brunch together. They followed that up with some relaxing cabin time, particularly enjoying the claw bath tub in the guest bathroom. Then they separated so they could get ready and write their heartfelt vows on custom vow paper designed by Tiger Lily Invitations. Glamology Beauty Lounge is a traveling hair and makeup service so they happily worked their magic in the master suite while Kelley from A Flower Chick turned the back patio into a magical oasis. The first look took place up on a little cobblestone path situated amidst the Redwoods. Then came the sweet words, vowing to love each other through the test of time. The bride swapped her formal gown from Lace and Liberty to a more free flowing gown, also from Lace and Liberty, and we headed to the coast for a magical sunset. I should also mention that the groom had a stress-free experience thanks to Stitch & Tie. You literally go online or call in your measurements and they mail your attire right to your location!!
